FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ABOUT

I specialize in personal branding photography, equine photography, and story-driven portraiture, with additional offerings in sports photography, graduation, and weddings.

What ties all of my work together is storytelling. I don’t just take photos. I help you create imagery that reflects who you are, how you work, and what you want to be known for.

That’s completely normal, and it’s something I plan for.

Most of the people I photograph don’t do this every day. They’re business owners, athletes, horse people, parents. Real humans. Not models.

Before we ever pick up a camera, we talk. About why you’re here. What the images are for. How you want to feel when you look at them later. That clarity removes a lot of pressure.

During the session, I’ll guide you through the process so you’re never left wondering what to do. There’s no rushing, no forced expressions, and no expectation to perform. We move at a pace that feels grounded and natural.

If nerves show up, we let them pass. Some of the strongest images come after that first few minutes, when things settle and you forget about the camera altogether.

You don’t need to arrive confident. You just need to arrive. I’ll take care of the rest.

ABOUT

What type of photography do you specialize in?

What if I’m nervous or uncomfortable in front of the camera?

Personal branding photography goes far beyond a headshot.

It’s about creating a visual narrative that supports your business. Your values. Your personality. Your audience. Your long-term goals.

We plan locations, wardrobe, messaging, and usage so your images work hard across:

-Websites
-Social media
-Marketing campaigns
-Speaking engagements
-Publications
-This isn’t stiff or corporate. It’s intentional, authentic, and strategic.

What makes personal branding photography
different from headshots?

I work with entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals, and business owners across Alberta and beyond, including:

-Equine and rural-based businesses
-Coaches and consultants
-Realtors and financial professionals
-Wellness providers
-Artists, makers, and speakers
You don’t need to perform for the camera. My role is to create an environment where you can show up as yourself, naturally and confidently.

Who do you work with for personal branding sessions?

Yes. Equine photography is one of the heartbeats of my work.

I offer:

  • -Storytail Sessions for healthy horses and their humans
  • -Legacy Sessions for end-of-life or memorial storytelling
  • -Fine art equine portraits
  • -Horse-and-human connection imagery
As a lifelong horse owner, my love for, and affinity with horses allows me to tell beautiful stories of connection and love.

Do you offer equine photography sessions?

A Legacy Session is created when time feels precious.  They are end of life sessions celebrating a life beautifully lived, and a pet or horse cherished beyond measure.

These sessions honour the bond between you and your horse or pet when you know the season is changing. They are gentle, unrushed, and created with care.

Legacy Session clients receive  digital files, because this is often the last chapter of a story you’ll want to hold onto forever.

What is a Legacy Session?

Yes. I offer both team sports photography and individual curated athlete sessions.
